The bird was mentioned in the text as the Woodchat, until the 1826 edition when the engraving was first published and the bird named Female Woodchat. In the 1832 and 1847 editions, the bird is named the Female Red-backed Shrike. The transfer drawing is at the Natural History Society of Northumbria, #25.
