
6.1 Notes
Select Notes from the Report menu to call up the Note Register
Parameters dialog window.

Fill in the appropriate date and cost centre information and click on the
button marked 'OK' to continue. To quit, click 'Cancel'. Once the parameters
have been defined, the Payroll Notes dialog will appear, containing all the
notes for the specified date range and cost centres.

6.1.1 Adding a New Note
In order to add a new note, the Payroll Notes dialog window must be active.
Once this requirement has been filled, select New from the File
menu, or type in the keyboard command equivalent <cmd-N> to call up
the Employee Note dialog window.

Fill out the dialog as follows:
a) Date- Type in the appropriate date in the Date field in the format YY/MM/DD.
The alternate format YY.MM.DD is also acceptable.
b) Employee- Click on the field to select the employee that the note concerns.
c) Note- Type in the body of the note.
6.1.2 Editing and Deleting Notes
In order to edit or delete a note, the Payroll Notes dialog window must be
active. Once this requirement has been filled, double-click on the information
line of the note that is to be changed to open the Employee Note dialog window

To edit a value in any field, either <Tab> to or click on the field in
question and type in the new value.
In order to delete a note, click on the 'Delete' button. You will be prompted
to confirm that you want to discard the note. Click 'Delete' again to erase it
or 'Cancel' to abort the operation.
To exit from the Payroll Notes window, select Close from the File
menu, or type in the keyboard command equivalent, <cmd-W>, or click in the
small box in the upper left corner of the window.
